Welcome to Foggy Hills, A city set in foggy 1950's San Francisco. A maze like city full of hidden nooks and dangerous dead ends where the preternatural creatures struggle in secrecy to control the fate of the universe in a human dominated world.

The sim and it's lore took heavy inspiration from Eldritch Horror as well as supernatural folklore around the world, bring a mixture of genres for you to discover and play in. 

The preternatural creatures (aka supernaturals) do not live openly, they follow secrecy as they pursue their own goals, yet no matter what you are, a mortal or a preternatural, you may not escape the gaze from beyond the stars, and will find your way into situations that concerns all.

Foggy Hills has a full 24 hour day and night cycle. What this means for the vampires, can be found HERE.

  • Use the menu at the top of the screen to navigate the site.

  • You are expected to be familiar with the content in OOC CONDUCT page. See HERE

  • We do have rich lore, although you are not expected to learn anything beyond your own creature type.

  • While we do advice filling our simple character sheet (Found HERE), You may play without it by following these rules.

    • You must play one of the available races.

    • You may not use powers or abilities. 

    • You roll bonus of +3 to every roll. 

  • All characters in Foggy Hills can potentially be killed, though characters have a "Reasonable Right To Life" as explained HERE

  • While we do use a DICE HUD, you are NOT expected to roll if you can agree an outcome.

  • This is a sim set in the 1950's, there is no strict dress code for this progressive city other than the below. You may wear modern clothes so long as they do not have technological or supernatural /magical enhancements. We're not going to pull you up over the cut or materials or your outfit. People have always bucked the fashion of the time and been outliers. The 1950's is no exception. Greasers existed, and the Hells Angels were formed in 1948, European influences were also present during this period. Though we must mention this is civilian sim set in the 1950's modern tactical gear and body armor are forbidden!

  • All sexual orientations, gender identifications and ethnicities are welcome here. San Francisco is a progressive city even in the time frame of the 1950's. Remember Secondlife Terms Of Service and community standards apply. The Terms of Service makes no distinction between roleplay and out of character. So bigotry against real life minorities will not be tolerated either IC or OOC.

  • It is exactly 70 years in the past, Jan 1st 2023 is Jan 1st 1953 in Foggy Hills.

  • The leap years of the 2020's and 1950's do not match, nor do the days of the week, but we will pretend that they do.
