Vampires are immortal creatures who sustain themselves by draining the life force from other living creatures. Vampires have origins from all over the world, most of the bloodlines originate during the Time Of The Nephilim, A time when the half god children of the God's competed against one another with cults and armies.

Vampires are undead in nature, that is to say that they died and their body remained frozen at the point of death. They typically drink blood, though one blood line feeds on life force energy and another on the flesh of the living.

There are several types of vampires, all coming with their own mixture of powers, ranging from preternatural strength or speed, to transformations into wolves or bats or clouds of mists.

Vampires are very hard to kill, the only sure way to kill them is via fire, sunlight or decapitation.

A stake through the heart will only freeze a vampire.

A vampire that is killed by any means other than fire, sunlight or decapitation can be brought back to life with a single drop of blood

Vampires are made when a human and only a human is drained of blood till they are about to die and then fed blood from a vampire. In the case of the Jiang Shi, energy is drained from a human and then energy is forced back into them.

VAMPIRE LAW

There really aren't a great deal of laws that vampires need bother themselves with. The only law they need concern themselves is the Rule Of Secrecy.
The Rule Of Secrecy simply means

  • Not revealing ones vampire nature to humans.

  • Not allowing evidence of the supernatural to be discovered by humans.

  • Killing vampires who are creating too many vampires and abandoning them.

  • Removing evidence of vampire activity

VAMPIRE POLITICS

The politics of the undead range from simple, to complex, all depending on the undead that take lead. Undead may be resourceful or powerful enough to be solitary if they chose, or be part of Cabal, a group of the undead that usually have something to gain by sticking together.

A practice that became very popular during dark ages and persisted into modern day is for a undead establish dominion over certain territory. These leader figures been called by many names, but the popular term in America became Regent. The rules that Regent puts over their territory is entirely up to them, some are more tyrannical, while others others are more democrat like. Outside of Rule of Secrecy, Regents often add their own rules.

Of course it is entirely up to the every individual undead if they should answer to a Regent in power or not. Which is why it is important that the Regent commands respect or and have resources to enforce their rule if needs be. This is why Regents have at least one personal Magus and a Collector. The Mystic is a mage undead, dealing with mystic arts and other delicate things. The Collector is their enforcer, sent to collect answers, people, or lives.

The other form of vampire society came about during roman times, when senate was running the empire. Undead influenced that idea back then and of course many adopted this democracy to this day. This is called Tribunal, that is ran by a group Praetors, who are usually influential undead, but not influential enough to become a Regent. The Tribunal discuss and decide on the issues of the undead together through the power of the vote.

Between solitary undead, Regents, and Tribunal, the vampire political landscape differs from city to city. Some cities ruled by one Regent, some have several Regents waging war on one another. Other cities have active Tribunal and some cities have both, Regent and Tribunal, constantly tagging at one another for power or keeping each other in check.

VAMPIRE TYPES

There are eight types of vampires all of them have their own unique origin stories.

  • There are two time periods during which Vampires were created.

  • The first was in the Age Of The Nephilim, a period when Nephilim warred against one another. This is typically before the current era (B.C.E ) and before Christ or (B.C.)

  • The Second Period is the War Of The Faeryn during the Medieval period between 500 C.E and 1500 C.E. However as the Nephilim were all buried in the year 666 we can rule out most origins after this date.

  • While all vampires can trace their blood to a place where their type was created, vampires are widely travelled. Lilithian vampires being the first to be created spread from the middle east to western Europe, it was there that they began to embrace witches during the medieval period.

  • Jiang Shi while originating in China, began to spread out into other areas of Asia.
