FOGGY HILLS
A Supernatural Roleplay Game for Second Life

There are Eight types of vampires all of them have their own unique origin stories, all involves the blood or flesh of the Nephilim. It should be noted, that while these vampires are -types- they are just as human races are to one another and not groups with political ambitions or hierarchies. While Lilithian's will have more in common with Lilithian's, it does not mean that a single Lilithian represents all Lilithian's. Each vampire is an individual and is treated as such. There are no political ties or bloodline loyalty they have to burden themselves with. They only respect the rule of secrecy.

LILITHIAN:
The first of the vampires was the Lilithian. When cultists who served a rival Nephilim burst into her temple and subdued her, abused her, defiled her, tortured her to near death and then drank of her blood in celebration, they found they had forever been transformed and became the first vampires. Lilith, whose body had been destroyed became as spirit would become the first Daemon and founder of the order Cubus, swearing her allegiance to the old god Asmodeus. Many Lilithian vampires who felt themselves cursed, named themselves Lilithian after the one whose blood they had taken, hoping that veneration of the Nephilim would spare them from the curse of sunlight and flame and eternal hunger for blood and their unliving bodies.

It should not be a surprise that Lilithian vampires have the highest concentration of witches, as the original men who defiled Lilith , saw it as part of their penance to pass the power of Lilith's blood back to those who venerated the sacred feminine. The sacred feminine is the goddess who was usurped by the ambitions of men and had her power stolen. The sacred feminine is a powerful symbol to pagan religions. Some Lilithian's indulge in wiccan witchcraft with all that entails, respecting the wiccan holy days and performing rituals naked in the moonlight.

STRIGOI
The Strigoi came into being when the Demi God Nefârtatul offered his loyal servants immortality, in exchange for eternal servitude, all they would have to do is drink is his blood, which they gladly did. This also afflicted all Strigoi with Nefârtatul's visage, their hair falls out, eyes gain unnatural color, skin pales (as for all undead), and instead of usual fangs, it's their front two incisor teeth that turn sharp. Some lose their nose, some become even more deformed than that, no one knows for sure what exactly dictates the final deformation of the Strigoi, in the end, all of them resemble the classical Nosferatu look from tthe 1922's film.
When Nefârtatul was killed by the Faeryn in the year 666 The servants of the Nephilim Nefârtatul swore bloody revenge upon the Faeryn, they swore to have the patience, strength and determination of a dragon to achieve this end. They became known as the Order Of the Dragon, the most famous of them would arise in the 13th century in the form of Vlad Tepes, Vlad The Impaler, Vlad Dracul or Dracula. Nefârtatul himself became a Daemon of Wrath.

VRYKOLAKAS
The Vrykolakas are also know as Camazotz in the new world, they are a strange breed. They were never fully human to begin with. Nobody remembers the name of the Nephilim or the were beast involved, but at sometime a werewolf seeking revenge for the curse upon his people attacked and drank the blood of a Nephilim, thinking it would cure their condition, since Lilith there had been rumours that the blood of Nephilim was magical and could cure all ills. The werewolf soon found that while most of his curse was abated, he was now cursed in a different way entirely. This werewolf became the first of the Vrykolaka and soon began to pass on his curse to other humans. Werewolves call the Vrykolakas the twice cursed and have vowed to kill every last one of them. Vrykolaka knowing they can't undo two curses have decided to embrace their nature and much to the dismay of the Vrykolaka care nothing for a cure.

BAOBAH SITH
It was at the height of the Nephilim and Faeryn war that the legendary Nephilim Cuhullin was attacked by the Faeryn Sidhe Maeb. He had slain a thousand Faeryn Warriors but began to become battle weary, he tied himself to standing stones so that he may die on his feet and continued to fight on, eventually outnumbered he finally succumbed to the superior numbers of his enemies, but not before he had slain a few thousand more of their number. When finally he fell in battle, he slumped and hung from the standing stones. His enemies stabbed at his side with a spear and let his blood pour into a golden goblet. There queen Maeb lifted the goblet to toast her armies victory and drank of the blood of the vanquished foe.
Even though her body was Faeryn, and alien to the earth it could not withstand the raw power of Nephilim blood. Queen Maeb fell to the ground in agony, when she awoke she immediately was overcome with a mad blood rage and drained the Faeryn servants of her home, she was chased away and took sanctuary in the woods. She became known as the Red Queen and was immediately Exiled by the Faeryn. She went into hiding in the dark woods and began to prey on hunters who wandered into her domain, she would take several mortal women as daughters who would become known as the Baobah Sith.
No vampire can turn a faeryn into a vampire, it seems only the blood of Nephilim can, and as the Nephilim no longer exist, such an occurrence can not happen again. To this day the Faeryn oath to destroy the progeny of the Red Queen Maeb still stands. Those of the Baobah Sith who know of their origins have an equal amount of hatred for the Faeryn, for exiling her instead of providing care for her in her darkest hours.

GHULS
After the murder of Lilith ,rumours began to circulate of the power of Nephilim blood, a desperate band of men had tried in vain to capture a living Nephilim to drain of their blood, but they could find none. Desperate to save themselves from the mortal armies of the Nephilim a band of brothers from the village of Ghul near where Lilith had been slain decided to explore her temple. They came upon her broken and ravaged and drained body and decided that if there was not a drop of blood in her veins, then there might be blood in her flesh, so the abuse of Lilith's body was not complete. The brothers began to consume the dead flesh of the Nephilim. While the Lilithian's inherited Lilith's strength, speed, beauty and powers of seduction, the band of brothers only inherited her death. They began to rot and decay, their limbs started to fall off. They had no choice but to seek a cure, they found consuming flesh and stealing body parts from the living was the only way to slow the curse. They also found that their bite rather than making vampires made zombies. How they turn others into vampires depends on the strength of the character of their victim. Only the strongest victims continue on as a Ghuls'. The name Ghul has become twisted over the years into Ghoul.

While both Ghul's and Lilithian's share the same progenitor, the two groups couldn't be more different. Lilithian's are beautiful and alluring, while Ghul's are hideous and repulsive and hide in the shadows and dark places. Ghul's shun society and prefer to hide in the hidden places of the world, usually making their way through back alleys or sewers.

JIANG SHI
While Jiang Shi are vampires, their origin does not contain blood nor flesh at all. Though they are Children of the Nephilim and do hunger for sustenance and are undead and have all the same weakness as vampires.
Legend has it that old god Princess Yaoji the sister of the Jade Emperor had a son with a mortal man called Yang Tianyou, their child was called Yang Jian or Earlang Shen, who was a demi god with a third truth seeking eye.
As one of the last standing Nephilim who was not present during the betrayal at Babel he entered into the spirit realm to see what had become of the slain Nephilim. What he saw was the spirits of the Nephilim building a great city called Omnis daemonium and that his former brothers and sisters had began to build idols of sin. Disgusted and fearful he headed back to the real world with the purpose of building an army to fight the oncoming daemon storm.
He tried to train mortals but to no avail, his followers would not be strong enough to fight the Daemons, so instead he opened his third eye and shared his essence with a group of loyal followers, his demigod essence was too strong though, and they all fell dead. Yang Jian prayed to his father to revive his followers with his dying breath and the jade emperor granted his wish, his followers stood up, but they were now vampires, hungering for energy instead of blood. Yang Jian died horrified at what he had brought into the world.
The Jiang Shi as they became known as, have sworn to destroy Daemons in honor of their progenitor.
Jiang Shi create other vampires in a similar fashion to regular vampires. Instead of stealing all blood and infusing their own into the vampire, they infuse their energy into a drained victim.

ASWANG
Asuang and Gugurang were demi-god brothers. Asuang it is said was evil and malicious and stole fire from his brother. In truth Asuang and his brother were rivals battling for supremacy of the Philippine islands, both Nephilim had rival mortal cults that they pitted against one another. Asuang plotted to steal his brothers god spark and consume it, he arranged for his cult to attack his brothers encampment to steal his fire..(Godspark).
Gugurang was defeated by Asuang's cult and taken to Asuang and nailed to the ground, Asuang finally had the chance to steal his brothers godspark. Asuang began to slowly drain his brother of his blood, and as with mortals who drank of the demi-god blood, he too was transformed into a vampire, although a vampire infinitely more powerful than those who were mortal to begin with. Gugurang summoned the last of his strength and fired a thunderbolt at his brother, that was so powerful it cut his brother in half, Gugurang then died, drained of all blood and energy. Asuang lay with his legs separate from his torso, his cult believing him to be dead gathered what blood they could and imbibed it. Drinking of it and transforming themselves in the process into vampires, that are known today as the Aswang.
The Aswang of the time believe that Asuang died, though rumor of Asuang haunting the jungles of the Philippines persist to this day. Some tales have told that Asuang feeds on the blood of other vampires to keep himself alive, and that he is the most powerful vampire in existence and will one day consume all of vampire kind as mortal blood cannot sustain him. Other rumour's say that Asuang left the Philippines years ago an headed to Europe, and others say he left to head to America, when ever a vampire is destroyed or disappears, Aswang fear that Asuang is behind it. The vampire condition brings with it many enhancements and gifts to the human condition, Aswang tremble in fear at the thought of what such vampiric gifts and enhancements the condition would have given a demi-god. It is worth noting that the Faeryn conquest of the medieval period never reached the Philippines, all attempted conquests were mysteriously unsuccessful, this too is attributed to the vampire demi-god Asuang seeing off the interlopers. The later colonial conquest of the Philippines by mortals has led to the belief that Asuang is either slumbering or has left the Philippines to hunt his descendants. If Asuang still exists he would be many thousands of years old and possibly the most powerful creature on earth.

LAMIA / LAMINA
Lamia was a beautiful Nephilim queen of Libya, The daughter of the Old God Poseidon and was so beautiful she caught the eye of the Old God Zeus who seduced her. Hera the jealous wife of Zeus punished Lamia by stealing away the children born from Lamia's affair with Zeus.
The Children of Lamia were also Nephilim. It is suggested that either Lamia herself or one her many children were responsible for the Lamia Vampire Bloodline. Lamia's children were spread all over the ancient world, springing up in Greece, Libya, Egypt, Rome, Turkey and Israel. It is generally believed that Lamia herself is the progenitor of the Lamia Vampire Bloodline, though her children are also candidates. It is possible that the blood of Lamia and the blood of her children are responsible for multiple Lamia bloodlines. All such bloodlines are indistinguishable from one another either way. The Lamia are the most widely travelled vampires in the old world and have apparently appeared overnight in several countries simultaneously. Given Hera hid Lamia's children from her, it is possible their blood created Lamia vampires in multiple countries.
There are therefore two types of Lamia.
-
Those who trace their lineage back to Lamia herself. They call themselves "Lamia"
-
Those who trace their lineage back to Lamia's children fathered by the Old God Zeus, They are called "Lamina"
